…there are lots of things changing in my life right now, and I am having one of those super-productive-because-I-have-to-be days. But man, it just feels like there is so much to get done, in so little time.
The great thing, though, is that every time I put my foot down for the next step forward, the water underneath my foot becomes solid ground. I’m just trying not to look down.

…I just think about this kid.
I wonder if he realizes how many people he has encouraged by his attitude in life. I want to live like that. I want people to be changed, not by what I say, but by who I am; more specifically, I want people to be changed by Christ in me.

…along with the rest of my life, my technological life is changing right now. I am in the midst of converting to the smartphone world, along with a few other things and so it has consumed my free time lately.
The cool thing is that I am learning a lot more about techie things which excites me.
Expect a more substantive post soon. Also be on the look-out for some pretty big announcements concerning my life changes (mostly dealing with an upcoming move and a new career).

Just in case anyone had any doubts, the new Coldplay album is unbelievable. SO GOOD!
I am trying to figure out the spiritual undertones to some of the lyrics, if anyone has any insight I would love to hear it!
In other news…I am anxiously awaiting the release of the Samsung Instinct. This one is probably going to push me over the edge into the smartphone world.

…so my driver’s license kind of expired two months ago, without me realizing it. With all of the traveling I did the past 2 and a half years, and with my parents’ recent change of address, my letter informing me that my license was due for renewal got lost in the shuffle.
Needless to say, I was pretty nervous about what the people at the DMV were going to say when I told them that I had been driving on an expired license for two months. I know it sounds silly, but I asked God to make this whole thing super easy. I am learning that I need to ask Him for help even in the everyday things, the mundane things.
And you know what? He totally came through for me. I should have had to take both the written and driving tests, but all I had to do was take the vision test, snap a new picture and that was it. Presto! A new license!

- Got to see CTI Fulltime 07-08 final concert
- Got to see some of my favorite people in the world
- Got to sleep in my car one night
- Got to enjoy Dunn Brothers Coffee
- Drove through some crazy storms
- Drove through Cedar Rapids in the midst of the the flood
- My car got decent gas mileage
The bottom line: it was a GREAT trip, worth every expensive gallon of gas, and something I will remember fondly for a long time. My body is crying uncle right now, and I am about to give in to it, but it is a good kind of tired; you know…the productive kind of tired.

…a magician was driving down the road, then he turned into a driveway.
On that note, I am out for the weekend! Camp for 2 days then a killer all-night drive to the Great White North!

….so today was supposed to be the culmination of all my hard work this school year. I was supposed to sleep until I woke up, read the word while I enjoyed coffee on the deck, go for a nice bike ride and then get ready for my big weekend.
Steps one and two went as planned, but step three went horribly wrong. To make a long story short (after having to buy a pack of gum to break a dollar bill to get change to pay for the air to put in my bike tire, the stupid air compressor wouldn’t even work!) I decided to ride the half-block back home and load my bike in my car to drive to another filling station, with a compressor that worked, because I didn’t trust the tire to make the ride across town to another station (it was really low).
Somehow during that short ride, I managed to slip off the edge of the sidewalk and slammed the sidewall of my tire into a sharp concrete edge, which inevitably caused the already low tire to blow. You have GOT to be kidding me!
But I am not going to let it ruin my day! At least, not the rest of it anyway!

…This week is going to be a big one for me. School gets out Wednesday, so that means I am done working for the summer, which is great! Then on Thursday I head out to work for the weekend at a Performing Arts Camp. Then, late Saturday night/early Sunday I drive up to Willmar, MN to go to the Full-time Final Concert for CTI Music Ministries. I will be staying up there for a few days to help out with training summer teams, then I head back to Illinois on Thursday for another weekend of Performing arts camp!
Needless to say, I am going to be loading up my iPod with lots of cool stuff to listen to on the way up and back from MN. Any recommendations? Cool podcasts/sermons and/or audiobooks?
